This week, we’re doing a topic episode led by a returning guest on the show. You may know him from our previous episodes. It’s Ryan!

Ryan Oliveira is a playwright, performer, songwriter, and theatrical jack-of-all-trades currently living in Chicago. His work has been developed with Teatro Vivo, Pride Films and Plays, Prop Thtr, and others. He’ll be developing a “re-vamped original work” with The New Colony in Chicago later next year and is currently working on new songs and a new novel during a long-needed theatre break.
Ryan returns to discuss a special topic in the songwriting process: What it means to write a song for theatre, for yourself, for anything else. Ryan shares his own personal history with songwriting and techniques and tricks he’s learned that work for him and may work for you.
